Hi, I’m Tom, founder of Lumio Consulting.

Before launching Lumio, I spent nearly 20 years in enterprise IT, designing and delivering solutions across storage, compute, networking, and hybrid cloud infrastructures for organizations of all sizes — from small businesses and SLED institutions to Fortune 100 companies.

In 2023, I began exploring the power of Generative AI and large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude — and I was hooked. What once required teams of developers suddenly became achievable using AI combined with low-code platforms like Make.com and n8n. Entirely new ways of doing business opened up — and I wanted to be part of it.

That’s when I decided to pivot from large enterprise projects to AI and automation, with a new focus: helping small and mid-sized businesses take advantage of these tools.

Why the shift? Because I’ve experienced firsthand how hard it is to grow a business with limited time, tools, and resources. Running a business means wearing multiple hats, juggling priorities, and constantly switching gears — all while trying to scale.

Today, I partner with business owners across Colorado to design smarter, more automated workflows that save time, reduce costs, and free up teams to focus on what matters most.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me hiking Colorado trails, camping, reading, or enjoying a cold beer on a sunny patio.
